Volunteer opportunities at Interstate Farmers Market 2010

1PM to 3:30PM Options at this timeslot include:    
Moving equipment    
Chalking out vendor stalls    
Setting up tables and chairs    
Setting up canopy tents    
Putting up signs    
Decorating Info Booth    
Directing traffic    
Welcoming vendors and customers 

3PM to 5:30PM Options at this timeslot include:    
Sitting at the Info Booth and welcoming/chatting with people    
Swiping Foodstamp cards and making change    
Counting customers with handheld clicker    
Directing customers to parking    
Gathering produce to put in Market Baskets    
Working Kids Booth    
Recycling, compost and trash checks    
Selling raffle tickets 

5:30PM to 8PM Options at this timeslot include:    
Packing up Info Booth    
Moving equipment to storage unit with rolling carts    
Taking down tents    
Reimbursing vendors for wooden tokens    
Tallying the day’s sales            

These are suggestions of times and activities where you could offer your skills and talents to your community…they’re flexible and open to your suggestions!  Also we need help during non-market day.  Let us know what you’re interested in and we can find a way for you to ‘plug in’ that works for you.
